THEIR STORY

GROOM

JEREMY STEVE WILLI

BRIDE

MAYA LOUISE TJITTES

It was a Tuesday evening when their eyes crossed for the first time at a christian gathering of young adults. Louise was visiting her friends in Geneva and invited some of them to have a drink in the old town afterwards. Jeremy made sure he joined the group. Louise deliberately placed herself next to him as they entered a cocktail bar. A first conversation started and interest was sparked in both of them. That night on his way h0me Jeremy called his best friend Julien saying: There’s something special about this girl. Louise left wondering why he didn’t ask for her number. The next day, she took matters into her own hands and found a way to get in touch with Jeremy, asking him about a trip he was organising to the Big Church Festival in the UK later that month. Jeremy, happy to see her message pop up on his phone, desperately wanted to see her before she was going back to Amsterdam and proposed to meet up again with the same group of friends the day before her flight home. Louise, with some Dutch straightforwardness and courage, responded: I have seen everyone I wanna see already individually, but if you’d like to see me before I leave, we can meet tomorrow at 8PM.

Their first date happened and since then they’ve been head over heels in love. Louise moved to Geneva a few months later and they got engaged in March, and married in September of this year.
